Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and executing the direction of the Executive Management Committee, each of our departments are lead by talented and expert Supervisors and Managers.
Our team members are highly educated, clinically experienced and dedicated to cardiac care. All our team members are certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and participate in ongoing continuing education programs, training and emergency management drills offered within our clinic setting.
Registered Nurses are exceptionally experienced in clinical cardiac nursing and work in a variety of our clinical areas including the Treadmill Lab, Cardiac Rehab and the Clinics including our flagship clinic, the RACCTM cardiology clinic. All our nurses are registered by the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta and are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Registered Cardiology Technologists work in the Treadmill and Holter Labs and are very skilled in conducting ECG's, treadmill tests and holter monitoring. All our technologists are registered by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
Registered Nuclear Medicine / CT Technologists work in the Nuclear / CT Cardiology Lab and are very experienced in cardiac imaging and radiation safety. All our Nuclear / CT technologists are registered with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. There is also a Radiation Safety Officer on our staff.
Cardiac Sonographers work in our Echo Lab and are very skilled in performing echocardiograms and carotid doppler ultrasounds. All our cardiac sonographers are registered with The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Clinical Exercise Specialist work in the Cardiac Wellness Program where they supervise the exercise program. Their role also includes treadmill testing, designing a personalized exercise program, providing detailed exercise and lifestyle counselling and teaching classes. All our Exercise Specialists are certified through the American College of Sports Medicine.
Registered Dietitians work in the Cardiac Wellness Program where they meet with patients one-on-one to discuss heart healthy nutrition, including diet and weight-management strategies. All our dieticians are registered with the College of Dieticians of Alberta.
Our Administration team is made up of Administrative Assistants and Medical Office Assistants. They provide very important support roles within all of our clinics, programs and labs. They are usually the first point of contact for our patients. They complete patient bookings, arrange necessary follow-ups; assist the physicians during clinical visits as well as ensure timely communications with the referring clinics by ways of telephone as well as program and clinic letters.
